The Mobile Disk does not require a power outlet connection. The QMemory Mobile Disk is USB 2.0 (480 Mb/sec) and Firewire IEEE1394 (400 Mb/sec) while maintaining capability with computers that are only equiped to handle USB 1.1. The Mobile Disk is a plug & play device, so setup is easy. Due to the variation of PC's hardware working environment, the host USB power supply may be inadequate at times. You can either plug into another USB port with the included Y cable or an additional power adapter.
